KID Welcomes Rebecca Amesbury Batisto to its Board of Directors
KID is happy to announce the appointment of
Rebecca Amesbury Batisto to its Board of Directors!
An award-winning communication strategist and owner of Abask Marketing, a marketing and communication agency based in Fort Lauderdale, Batisto has seventeen years of experience in developing and implementing marketing strategies for well-known corporations in South Florida. Having worked hands-on with several community organizations, assisting with the successful promotion of each cause, she brings a unique perspective to the KID Board of Directors.
“KID always is looking to bring fresh, new viewpoints to the leadership of our organization,” said Mark Dhooge, CEO of KID. “We are thrilled Rebecca is joining us as we continue our mission of abuse prevention, preservation of families, and the treatment of those who have been abused or neglected.”
As a member of the KID Board of Directors Batisto will create solutions to help KID meet the needs of children and families in our community, shape the future of programming and community involvement for KID, and find innovative ways to enhance the KID experience.
Batisto is a graduate of Florida Atlantic University with a M.A. in Communications/ Rhetoric and a B.A. in Communications/ Journalism. She was the founding PR Chair for Emerge Broward and Ghostlight Society, and currently serves on the Marketing Committee for The Swedish American Chamber of Commerce Ft. Lauderdale and Palm Beach.
Originally from Oxford, England, Batisto lived onboard a sailboat, traveling worldwide before falling in love with the South Florida community and moving here permanently. She now lives in Plantation, Florida with her husband and their two small children.
